I know that landowners are legally obliged to maintain footpaths and keep them accessible to walkers but does this extend to dogs?
The last couple of weeks we have been confounded by ‘dog holes’ in stiles which have been meshed over with barbed wire. That’s fine if you have a lightweightish dog with you and you can lift them over. I would have to have a block and tackle to assist mine!
We have had three really good walks ruined because of this.
