Lilly – 21 month old female Greyhound

0

Lilly is a 21 month old female Greyhound who is currently being fostered in Disley, Cheshire. Lilly (was named Ernie by owner due to having a hernia!) is Milo’s sister. Working with the same organisation we saved Lilly from being put to sleep. She was one of the 70 greyhounds (including their brothers and sisters) facing destruction due to the trainer closing down. Like Milo she has never known a home only a kennel and she hasn’t been trained to race.

Lilly has been wormed, flead started vaccinations and been microchipped. She has been spayed along with a hernia being removed and a teeth scale and polish. Lilly is not a big greyhound but like her brother but is as beautiful. She is good with other dogs so can be rehomed with them. She is very friendly and loving and is really good on the lead.

We’ve no idea what Lilly is like with cats but we’d rehome her with children/teens as she’s so passive. Lilly is starting from scratch, everything is new from things like walks out and about, roads, household appliances, TV’s, hoover, carpet, doors, heating, even down to things like good food, toys and treats! Lilly has accepted all these things with no problems, she is very clean in the house.

Contrary to common belief Greyhounds don’t need excessive amounts of exercise; they enjoy normal walks like any other breed. They love their home comforts, they need a raised stand for feeding, a greyhound collar, a coat for cold and wet weather and a big cushion type bed to spread out on!

If you are looking for a gentle, affectionate, placid dog then please adopt a Greyhound, please give Lilly a chance, what a little princess she is.
