Gypsy’s had her first season

She very kindly decided to come into season the first weekend in two years that i decided to go to devon on my own and leave them at home with my OH!
Oscar paid no interest in her at all! He sniffed her and that was about it, not even an attempt at mounting her!
I bought her some little girls knickers and some cheap pantyliners and she quiet happily ran around the house in them and waited for them to be taken off and put back on when i let her out for a wee.
there has only been one odd (and disgusting) habbit she seems to be doing while she has been in season and that is eating her or oscars poo.
Now she has only done this since she has been in season – is this normal?
for the record, she has been out on the lead when walked but i’ll admit i have picked her up if we came across another dog just to be safe – she’s only little and didn’t wanna risk and accident (didn’t have pants on when walking incase needed to do anything)
