Bailey – 7 year old male Collie Cross

0

Bailey is a 7 year old Collie cross boy who is currently being fostered in Macclesfield, Cheshire. He been signed over for rehoming by his owner because since her husband died she cannot manage 3 dogs even with her teenage son helping out. She will keep him until he’s rehomed so he doesn’t have to come into kennels; she got him originally from a city dogs home where he’d spent several months after he had been found starved and emaciated. Bailey is micro-chipped and fully vaccinated, he is being neutered 10/09. He is a healthy dog.

Bailey is a very handsome medium sized dog, he is very friendly, calm and obedient. He is gets on great with other dogs and likes children, he’s only really been around older children but tolerates younger children well. He chases cats out of the garden so no cats! He is good around livestock. He knows many commands, he travels well, he is house trained and is not destructive. He is good on the lead but can pull a bit, he has good recall but doesn’t always respond immediately and he’s used to being off lead a lot.

Bailey loves to play with other dogs but can be possessive over his toys around them as can be shown in the video, it doesn’t go any further than growling and barking. So if he’s rehomed with another dog the owner needs to bear this in mind, his current companions don’t retaliate and see this as a game! We hope that whoever adopts him doesn’t use kennels when they go on holiday as this is not in Bailey’s best interests considering his past.

Bailey is a such a lovely dog, he’s absolutely gorgeous and enjoys to be made a fuss off, he is not a bouncy dog but he is playful; he loves to play with his toys and loves his walks. He’ll make somebody a lovely companion and pet.
