nothing major going on w/sam, just his bum stuff, he’s still itchy, there and in between his back legs right around his boy bits, the vet has looked around in there, there’s nothing, there’s no worms, there’s no anal gland issues, he said perhaps it was the skin flaps (he has a couple of those back around his bum hole) and so i’ve been keeping it clean and went through some antibiotics he sent me home with (the vet) but nothing, sam keeps doing it, could it be the heat? any ideas as to what i could do to stop him from being unconfortable?
one more thing is his elbows, since it’s so discustingly hot he likes to lay down on the floor and not on his beds so his elbows are really taking a beating, at the moment i’m putting on there some thick vaseline like jelly used on cow’s otters, but is there anything else i can do to prevent this? he’s really uncomfortable and hurting i can tell cause he pulls away a bit when i put the jelly on, signs of pain are unusual on sam so i’m guessing it’s really hurting hime, he licks it too which it does not help, could i tape the elbows up or something like that? right now i think they’re super raw and need to breath to heal, anything to help it heal better, the jelly just moisturizes.
